This project is a speculative collaboration between Issey Miyake and Apple, focusing on design that operates as an extension of the body. Both use ideas that prioritize intuition, simplicity, and user interface. Garments are not created as statements but instead as a compliment to the wearer's existing wardrobe. This collection treats clothing as an interface, prioritizing wearability, simplicity, and seamless integration into daily life.
color: This palette uses color to break the simplicity of a uniform. Silhouettes primarily use black and white as a foundation, using color to interrupt otherwise monotone shapes. Color is used to demonstrate the ability of opposites to complement one another.

materials: Material selection is intended to challenge the wearer's expectations. Transparency, layering, and colorblocking are not consistent with conventional ideas of formal wear. By using material as a distinctive feature, silhouettes can remain traditional while maintaining originality.
RRL concept FW 26
This project focuses on garments created through utility rather than fashion. RRL has focused on the importance of military and workwear, and the resilience of design that has lasted decades without the need for improvement. Creating around the idea of performance rather than aesthetics has created some of the most iconic garments throughout history that have transcended their original use and have now become staples within most people's wardrobes. This collection explores classic silhouettes in a modern context, and is anchored by RRL's attention to detail and historical accuracy.

color: Utilitarian clothing often uses color as a design feature. Natural fabrics use a neutral palette that complements one another and the surrounding environment.
material: Each material chosen was intended to maintain historical accuracy with respect to the garment's original reference. All fabrics use 100% cotton, wear naturally over time, and are designed to be repaired.
